Turquoise Aqua Codd Sea Glass Marble Necklace

A rare turquoise–aqua Codd sea glass marble, tumbled by time and tide, now held in a loose sterling silver cage.

The marble moves gently within its frame – a perfect little fiddle toy for restless hands, and a talking piece that carries the magic of the sea wherever you go.

Once upon a time, these marbles were stoppers inside Victorian Codd bottles – fizzy drink bottles invented in the 1870s. Children often smashed the bottles just to play with the glass balls, and over the decades, the broken marbles found their way into the sea, where waves smoothed them into treasures like this.

One of a kind. Forever ocean–worn.
